Genex Construction was formed to provide a reliable, fully supported construction service across groundworks, brickwork, and multi-trade building projects.
We work with private clients, developers, and commercial organisations, delivering projects that are well organised, safe, and built to last. Our experience spans new build housing, extensions, infrastructure works, and managed construction projects.

Our Leadership Team

Genex Construction is director led. Each director brings practical experience, management knowledge, and trade expertise to the business.

Stuart Shaw

Director
Stuart has almost 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He began his career working on new build housing developments, specialising in groundworks for well-established house builders including Cyden Homes, Chestnut Homes, and Linden Homes.

After nearly 20 years in groundworks, Stuart moved into local authority work as a supervisor with Engie Services. His role covered a wide range of projects, from general maintenance of council buildings to accessibility grant works for the NHS. He began his career working on new build housing developments, specialising in groundworks for well-established house builders including Cyden Homes, Chestnut Homes, and Linden Homes.

More recently, Stuart has worked in site management for Gleeson Homes, overseeing the day-to-day running of new build housing developments. His responsibilities included coordinating trades and suppliers, managing health and safety requirements, and working closely with NHBC inspectors to ensure compliance and build quality.
Stuart holds an NVQ Level 6 in Construction Management and brings strong operational control to every project.

William Addison

Director
William is a qualified bricklayer with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry. He has run his own business, Addison Construction, delivering projects across both the private and commercial sectors.
Alongside brickwork, William has developed extensive experience in landscaping, new builds, extensions, alterations, and full project management. His work includes projects for major house builders and developers such as Larkfleet, David Wilson Homes, Beal Homes, and Gleeson Homes.
William’s trade background ensures that workmanship, detailing, and build quality remain a priority throughout every stage of a project.

Andrew Delaney-Smith

Director
Andrew has almost 15 years of experience within the construction industry. He began his career as an apprentice site manager and progressed through roles that built both practical and management expertise.
Andrew most recently worked as a contracts manager for national house builder Gleeson Homes. His experience spans both residential and commercial construction, with previous roles involving companies such as RG Carter, Lindum Construction, Cyden Homes, and Gleeson Homes.
Earlier in his career, Andrew also worked as a groundworker and machine operator, giving him a strong understanding of site operations at all levels.
Andrew holds an NVQ Level 7 in Construction Management and plays a key role in project coordination, planning, and delivery.
